Richard Scrushy, former CEO of HealthSouth, who waltzed off with an estimated $300 million after a jury acquitted him of financial fraud, despite the testimony of five consecutive chief financial officers who admitted to cooking the books. Scrushy played "the God card" in his defense, complete with a half-hour TV prayer show, and a prayer group praying for him every day at the trial. The Birmingham, Alabama jury bought it.
