They prey like mantises upon their mates
Whenever anyone with half a brain
Objects to acts that go against the grain
Of what we learned of these United States
From kindergarten on. Bush violates
The rule of law; fifth columnists explain
That Nine-Eleven and Iraq constrain
Our rights, bend us to Neocon dictates.
The War on Terrorism’s just a ploy
To thrust fear down our throats and make us cringe
Behind the Neocon divining rod,
While Cheney, Wolfowitz, and Rove destroy
The dreams that drove democracy, impinge
On freedom, pillage public trust, play God.
