Murdoch's merely the tip of the capitalist iceberg. Socialism, anyone?

“An oligarchy of private capital cannot be effectively checked even by a democratically organized political society because under existing conditions, private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information.”

Albert Einstein

The minions of private capital are everywhere, drawing our attention to what they want us to know, and "protecting" us from the truth when it might serve to open our eyes. Fox News defending Rupert Murdoch? Well, he is their boss, but give me a break!

Congress is rotten to the core, thanks to corporate corruption and media sleaze. The Supreme Court has tipped so far to the right it's fallen on its side and can't get up. The oligarchy has its eyes on the prize: The White House in 2012. American democracy, locked down tight.

Can't happen here? Wanna buy the Brooklyn Bridge?

Rigged elections may seem the least of our worries, but Republicans have worked overtime to insinuate their easily manipulated voting machines into the process. Now they're busily disenfranchising Democrats with the modern version of the Poll Tax and other harassment tactics. Look for the blackshirts of The Company Formerly Known as Blackwater at a polling place near you, there to "maintain order."

There's more. Look it up, unless you're too busy being entertained, or you're so backed up with conceit you might explode if you don't unload so others equally full of themselves can respond.
